| The Hants meets are not structured in the same manner as LondonFurs or Northernfurs and so happen on a more casual timetable. Meets are usually hosted by varied members of the group on their own defined dates approx 4-6 weeks ahead of the date. Most are organised around the Southampton/Portsmouth surrounding areas, however some have gone as far afield as Bournemouth for the annual beach-meets. | The idea is to aim for meeting up at the leisure centre in Basingstoke at 12:00 – There is a sizable amount of things to do and for the duration (namely winter) and is in a premium spot as everything is close by and relatively cheap; and transport links are easy enough to and from town; it also seems safe to assume that there is enough to keep most furries entertained and occupied for a while *grin*. | |
